Cornecopia
Friday, April 29th, 2005Oh a whole bag o’ fun!
Firstly, I highly recommend I (heart) Huckabees. You will either love it or hate it, and even if you love it you might not get it. Secondly, I also highly recommend Kill Bill Vol. 2 (like all of you haven’t seen it).
J and I (J being a friend from work) picked 4 movies, 2 which we watched tonight and 2 which are pending a future time. We watched one I hadn’t seen (Kill Bill 2) and one she hadn’t seen (I (heart) Huckabees). Though I hadn’t seen that one either.
The second part of the bag o’ fun is that after the movies as we were walking down the stairs, I met and talked the first of my neighbors ever. That’s right, in closing in on 2 years I have not talked to my neighbors. This may be due largely to not speaking the same language (at least natively).
It turns out that the neighbor that I ran in to lives in the apartment directly below me (which could be a bit awkward, as now she knows who might be annoying the hell out of her).
Anyway, it’s the circumstances of the meeting that are noteworthy. She was concerned because her shower curtain was displaced in a way that, honestly (after viewing), was unlikely that it could have gotten to on its own.
In any case, she asked if we wouldn’t mind coming into her apartment with her to take a look around. So now I’ve not only met and talked to one of my neighbors, I’ve been in her apartment to look for intruders.
The shower curtain was hanging out over the toilet, which is a very unusual place to get to and it did look like someone was sitting behind it. Sorta. At least enough to be a little disturbing.
"Hi, I don’t know you, but would you mind seeing if someone is in here to kill me? Thanks!" An exaggeration, but it sounds good
My theory is that either maintenance worked on her shower (they’ve been looking for water leaks I guess) or a door opening/closing caused the shower curtain to balloon out and get stuck as it did.
All seems to be well. Given the locality in time, I’d say the sounds of water in pipes that I’m hearing are her getting ready for bed.
And with that, I’m going to bed. If you haven’t already, make sure to check out the two posts immediately below this one. They are worth reading.

Today is the day for funny stuff apparently. Another good site. Any and all Star Wars fans with a sense of humor ought to read some of this.
Oh These Are Good
Thursday, April 28th, 2005Oh my, these are quite funny. Thanks go to my friend Spencer for sending ‘em to me.
Pictures Posted!
Wednesday, April 27th, 2005New pictures have been posted and I’ve re-sorted the albums so that the newest pictures (by the date of the photo) appear at the start of the album. I think that makes way more sense.
More Pictures to Post and Other Stuff Too
Tuesday, April 26th, 2005I’ve got pictures from yesterday and today (and even a short movie clip or two that might make it up) to post, but they aren’t up yet. In fact, the pictures from today aren’t even off the camera.
I know it’s got you all on th edges of your seats.
Also, the next part of the story is almost ready to go. My brains must have left me before, because I should have been saying that what I’d written would either be part 3 or part 4, but was saying 4 or 5. In any case, I do believe that it will be the next part and will thus be part 3.
It’s almost ready to go, just my final editing. I know it’s been a long time in coming, but, well, that’s how long it’s taken!
Ooooh, Good Bumper Sticker
Friday, April 22nd, 2005Pictures Doubtful Today
Thursday, April 21st, 2005Since it is a wee (read quite a bit, and looking like rain) bit cloudy. If I’m thinking about it, I may take one out the windows to the front of the building ’cause the tree leaves look neon green. Dunno if it’ll capture that, but it’s impressive in person.
Worth 1000 Words
Wednesday, April 20th, 2005Updated my gallery of pictures. I added a couple to the Photos From Lunch album, one to the Random Work (of my boss Carlos) and added an On the Way Home album.
It may take me a half hour or more to drive the five miles home, but the route is pretty. Too bad that’s not true of the route in to work.
Where I Work and a Place for Lunch
Tuesday, April 19th, 2005So I thought I’d post a couple of pics from my up-and-running Gallery (gag me with the layout, but I wanted it running more than pretty to start with). The first is my office (on a relatively good day!) and the second is where I’ve been going for lunch. It’s a park right down on the Potomac in Old Town.
Some day, when I have like loads of free time, maybe I’ll figure out how to embed the viewable gallery into WordPress.
