No apologies here

Thursday, April 29th, 2004

I know that I haven’t written in over 2 weeks. It’s been one of those kinds of 2 weeks. You’ll just have to imagine a bad couple of weeks of your own.

Hmm… I did manage to go to a very horrible "trade" show, the Travel & Leisure Expo. It was at the Dulles Expo Center (obviously in Virginia).

Oh, yes, and I’ve been rather sick with some stupid cold-like thing that’s still not quite gone. It was fun for a bit though, when I lost my voice. Tomorrow will be I think the 2nd (or 3rd?) week that I’ve had this in some form or the another.

So that covers most of the stuff, I think.

Whoops…

Wow, erm… uhm. Long time.

So I went to historic (sorry, Historic) Ellicott City on last Saturday with K and this place called the Clay Station.

It’s a pottery painting place and was a bunch of fun. I selected a salt & pepper shaker set. Imagine a rectangular box (tall), cut diagonally. My design is a landscape that wraps around the two when they are placed together, when they aren’t, and when they are placed side by side.

I’ll try to get pictures, because I’m sure that doesn’t make a whole lot of sense.

I also got an Easter package from my Mom that included the movie Pirates of the Caribbean. That’s a great movie.

And I got a birthday present from her yesterday. A cool rock garden that’s lit! Spent some time getting it set up last night. I like it :)

Welp, that’s a bunch o’ days worth of stuff summed up.

Did I mention the rain? It’s been raining since Monday. No, really. According to Weather.com, however, the rain should be going away after today. That might be nice.

Nifty

Cool Worms 3D demo came out today. Taking forever to download though.

I suppose that if I joined IMG’s Pro service I wouldn’t have to wait…. but, well, I do have other things I can do while it downloads.

Spectacular Weather

Friday, April 9th, 2004

Oh just absolutely beautiful weather today. I’m not even going to try to guess the temperature, but if you really must know I’m sure Weather.com will let you know the high (well, tomorrow it will).

Really, I ought to be on my balcony posting this…

And now I am. Wow, this laptop has a very dim monitor. Wow. Never really noticed it before this. *shrug* Oh well, I can deal with it. This is really quite nice.

Yes, I don’t mind gloating over those in more northern climates.

Things I Really Hate

Tuesday, April 6th, 2004

Like, oh, say the hospital. Well, Inova Mount Vernon’s. And to be fair, just the billing department. You see, they charged me a large sum of money to have my appendix removed.

Ok, fair enough. However, they offer no reasonable way to pay them back other than by big ol’ lump sum. Now I ask you, if someone does not have health insurance, what is the likelihood that that person has large sums of cash hanging around?

Sure, I suppose some do, but honestly it can’t be many. I think I’m going to stop ranting about them, however, because it just pisses me off more and I’d rather just move on.

“Move on?” you say. Why yes, move on and deal with the collection agency they decided to sic on me. Fortunately, the collection agency is way more logical, understanding and helpful.

Stupid idiots.

Geez

Seems like I really dropped off the face of the earth these past few weeks.

Well, I didn’t get to go to the Cherry Blossom Festival afterall. It was a big disappointment not to go, but sometimes that’s how life is.

Here’s hoping this week is better.

Days go by…

Thursday, April 1st, 2004

Outside of being a cool song, the title for this entry has to do with my recent spat of days between posts.

It’s probably because not a whole lot is going on right now, at least in some regards.

This weekend I’m planning on going to The Cherry Blossom Festival with K in DC. Planning on being at the parade, craziness and all. I feel everyone should be pulling for the Weather here to be nice on Saturday.
